Boothe Laser Center

DR WILLIAM BOOTHE

The Boothe Eye Care and Laser Center is a premier vision center that offers laser surgery treatment for people living with nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism. Based in Plano, Texas (north of Dallas), the world-class clinic has restored crystal clear vision and improved quality of life for thousands upon thousands of patients for more than two decades. The clinic has become the standard of care for corrective vision facilities around the world.

The founder of the Boothe Laser Center is Dr. William Boothe, one of the most experienced practitioners in the field of refractive eye surgery. Dr. Boothe was one of the first surgeons in the Dallas area to offer LASIK procedures at his practice after the U.S. Food and Drug Administration first approved the excimer laser technology for use in the United States. Since then, he has perfected the treatment and consistently produces extraordinary results and satisfaction among his patients.

The two most popular procedures performed at the Boothe Laser Center are INTRALASIK and LASIK procedures. Both treatments are the same, except that with INTRALASIK, the entire procedure is performed with the use of a laser, including the creation of the corneal flap. In LASIK procedures, however, a handheld device known as a “ microkeratome” is used to gently create the corneal flap to expose the tissues that need to be shaped by the laser. Dr. Boothe was one of the first three Dallas-area surgeons to use the microkeratome and among the first in the country to employ it at his Boothe Eye Care practice.

Today, Dr. Boothe continues to actively pursue the newest breakthroughs in laser technology to expand upon existing tools and ensure the best possible results for his patients. Because of his thirst for new knowledge, the Boothe Laser Center is fully equipped with the most advanced laser systems available today. These include the Wavefront-Customized LASIK system, which generates a 3-dimensional map of your eye that can be used to guide a laser in shaping the corneal tissue with incredible accuracy. Dr. Boothe also uses the VISX Star4 System to closely track your eye movements during your procedure to ensure utmost precision.

Patients at Boothe Eye Care and Laser Center can have full confidence that they are receiving the highest standard of care in the field of corrective vision today. For additional information about whether you are a good candidate for laser surgery, call Dr. William Boothe at (214) 328-0444.
